HUNDREDS of workers were evacuated at a
nuclear power plant amid a carbon dioxide
leak yesterday.

A spokeswoman for the Nuclear Installations
Inspectorate said the leak occurred while staff
were testing emergency equipment.

She added: "One system was not working as
it should and this caused the leak."
