a proxy post for Kristin

greenspun.com : LUSENET : It's All About Joe 90: The Discussion Board : One Thread

hey everyone...

i'm posting for Kristin, because she's not home yet. she called me from a hotel room in IN at about 4 pm today -- her car broke down :(

i won't relate the entire story, but she's okay (which is the important thing). a very nice man helped her out and got her to a garage, and they came and towed her car and dropped her at a hotel for the night. they're gonna look at it tomorrow, but from what she said, the mechanic was saying things like "oh, that's really not good" when she explained what happened. :(

she's not sure what she's doing yet, whether she's gonna rent a car and drive home tomorrow or what, but she's gonna let me know and i'll keep you guys posted.

send out good automobile karma, k?

xoxo...aimee.*

Just wanted to send good car vibes... I know it can suck when cars break down, cuz it always happens in my family.

My mom happened to see the post too, and she sends her good car vibes as well.

that sucks. but kristin's a tough broad, she'll be ok. :)

oh, and thanks for the IN reviews everyone!

well, who'd have guessed? the holiday inn in lebanon, IN has a business center with a computer. cool.

so, this has not been one of my better days. as you've probably all figured out by now. but it also could have been so, so, so much worse. there are some absolutely amazingly, nice people here in indiana. i 've been very lucky... all things considered.

thank's for posting in proxy for me aimee. and thank you everyone for your well wishes.

i not only got a lot of "oh that doesn't sound good" and "oh that's bad" from the mechanic but i also got to hear things like "may need a new engine" and "if >insert some confusing mechanic term here< is what happened then your car is trash" being thrown around. but i'll worry about that tomorrow.

right now i'm heading back across the road to the convenience store. i saw some ben & jerry's ice cream earlier and i'm goin' in.

oh, and i'm not up for doing a review right now. but the show was great. i'm glad i went. i really wish my car would have waited til i got home to die... but such is life.

miss you all

I've stayed in that hotel before!!! I always thought it was strange that a country was squished into Indiana... I stayed there when we were on our way back from the CC concert in Toledo last July...

Glad to hear you're okay Kristin.. hope they can fix your car!

sorry for short/multiple posting...

yeeeeee :/

when kristin and i were pulling away this morning in our respective cars, i thought to myself, 'oh man....that is not a good sound.'

i'm sending 'good car' vibes, too.

that totally sucks to have that happen on the road. i don't know what i'd do, being as i don't have a credit card OR a savings account! like my dad said when i was thinking about going to the omaha show....'you'd end up moving to omaha!'

wishing for happy endings......
