You Know: I can't understand the Ole Gitites.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TB2K spinoff uncensored : One Thread

Folks:

This makes no sense. I posted the following on Y2K Pro's thread about Dennis Olson.

Just a touch of whimsy to this otherwise serious discussion of Hawk's attributes. Do a search for Dennis Olson in WI, ND and MN. Use a good search engine. It is like searching for John Smith in NYC. Best wishes,,,

-- Z1X4Y7 (Z1X4Y7@aol.com), April 08, 2000.

Dennis started a thread saying that we were trying to track him down. While I seldom post there, I did. I explained that the above post was a comment on the the fact that if one did a search in an area with a large ethnic group the name would turn-up many times. It was posted and immediately removed. Man, these are weird dudes. I withdraw my positive statements about that board.

Best wishes

-- Z1X4Y7 (Z1X4Y7@aol.com), April 08, 2000

Answers

Dennis is his own deal but WHY the Old Git slam in your title line? What some people hate about Git is that she keeps good records and isn't above slamming something you said 6 or 12 months ago down your throat when the tune changes. Hunch here she won't be voting for Gore.

-- Carlos (riffraff@cybertime.net), April 08, 2000.

Nice try, Charlie, but I dislike Old Git because she is a mean- spirited crone. Personally, I was delighted she kept my old threads bookmarked (OutingsRUs)... if only she had read them. (chuckle) After the little fiasco where Git compared forum "trolls" to Nazi Brownshirts... I had little respect for the woman. Her contribution to the Y2K debate was a weak copy of Carla Emery's book, "The Country Encyclopedia." Serving as forum sysop/censor for EZB is a perfect job for her... though 3 to 2 says a house falls on her sometime soon.

-- Ken Decker (kcdecker@worldnet.att.net), April 08, 2000.

Carlos: Has nothing to do with the Ole Git personally. But she seems to be keeping the posting rate up. Hence; old gittites. This was a really stupid response on their part. I was never a follower of Ed and yet I was never a critic. Go figure.

Best wishes,,,,,

Z

-- Z1X4Y7 (Z1X4Y7@aol.com), April 08, 2000.

Z,

You're just noticing now? Weren't the chemtrail posts a little clue? Sorry, Buckwheat, the Church of Yourdon is no place for mistakes. Any sign of independent thought (or humor) and it's excommunication for you. You've been Flinted... congratulations.

-- Ken Decker (kcdecker@worldnet.att.net), April 08, 2000.

Z:

Dennis and I go back to the MSNBC forum in 1998. I've responded to him on the EZBOARD forum. We may not agree on anything [Dennis and myself], but we DO seem to be able to converse without getting too personal in the effort.

-- Anita (Anita_S3@hotmail.com), April 08, 2000.

Fortunately Kenny your respect isn't a much valued commodity. Git has a momma cat nature. That the claws brushed is no big deal to anyone but you. Her sevice ( and I do mean service ) portended to decorum. It was a house game. Don't like the game? Leave the house. Never read or visited Yourdon, North or your other favorite foils. Didn't need to. BTW, how's civil service treating ya? Ya, ya. Appointed.

-- Carlos (riffraff@cybertime.net), April 08, 2000.

Anita, what does your comment that Dennis Olson can hold a civil conversation has to do with Z's comment that he appears to be paranoid that he is being tracked from a comment Z made on here?

Z, do you mean your post was deleted, or the entire thread? EZboard appears to be getting wierder and weirder by the week.

-- Chris (!@#$@pond.com), April 08, 2000.

"Ole Gitites." Aren't they mentioned in the Old Testament.

Shame on you, Z, to advocate the use of powerful search engines to track down a registered EZboreder. Did you not consider the gaggle of wackos over there who might have acted on this. No wonder your post was deleted.

-- David L (bumpkin@dnet.net), April 08, 2000.

um..Cap, read the original post from Z again;

"Just a touch of whimsy to this otherwise serious discussion of Hawk's attributes. Do a search for Dennis Olson in WI, ND and MN. Use a good search engine. It is like searching for John Smith in NYC."

He wasn't telling anyone to track down THE Denis Olsen from EZboarder, he was simply saying that trying to do so was like looking for one perticular John Smith in NYC, hence looking for a needle in a hay stack.

-- Chris (!@#$@pond.com), April 08, 2000.

FOlKs:

During the great separation, I was cursed. But in the end I was not banned. Evidently, I now have been. Curses. My second, non-offensive post, to the same thread has been removed . Forunately, Anita has posted the same information to the same thread [Danke, Anita]. My guess is that Anita will enter the realm of sin. This is really silly. But that is the Yourdan world. Welcome to the Yittinites.

Best wishes,,,,

-- Z1X4Y7 (Z1X4Y7@aol.com), April 08, 2000.

Chris, not sure if your last answer was meant to address mine, but if so, it would seem that the irony in which I drenched my answer was insufficient. "EZbored" instead of "EZboard." "Gaggle of wackos." That the very board whose members accuse TB Uncensored of providing aid and comfort to nut cases, tacitly acknowledges having its own contingent of same.

It's OK. I know it's late (at least in my own Time Zone).

-- David L (bumpkin@dnet.net), April 08, 2000.

David L:

Hell no. I learned to do this as a test. Could I do it. Well I did it on LL. Yea, I could. Didn't know if it was right. Didn't feel I could comment on it. Never presented any informatin that I had. Was sure that it was not ethical to provide personal information. Don't release personal information. Don't track people. Don't give a damn about the Olson family. If Ole Git feels threatened, so be it.

best wishes,,

-- Z1X4Y7 (Z1X4Y7@aol.com), April 08, 2000.

Z1X.... What's the deal? U can say all you want here. That Yourdon does what he wants is HIS deal. Can't yet figure the obsession with Yourdon and his forum. Old wounds? Old wars? Geeze, and you all think the posters there should get a life!

-- Carlos (riffraff@cybertime.net), April 08, 2000.

Well, I guess I don't write as well as Flint thinks he does. Maybe that former faculty dude Decker saw the irony in my original answer.

Public service advisory: this answer also contains irony.

-- David L (bumpkin@dnet.net), April 08, 2000.

Z, With a tad bit of practice, you'd be amazed at what you can find out on the web, especialy if you're useing 100's of programable search engines at the same time :-)

Just a comment about OG... If you are an asshole, she will reflect that right back to you. She is a little old Lady and one of the nicest people I've meet on the web, very helpful if you have Q's, very supportive if you have a problem.... FYI... she never was a Syop on the old forum.... her health wouldn't permit it... I KNOW

-- Netghost (ng@no.yr), April 08, 2000.

Why would Dennis Olson be concerned about anybody tracking him down? For Petes sake this clown was on TV right after the rollover and it would be public knowledge where he lived. Didnt any of you folks see this fool? If you had there would be no question in your minds as to why he was fired from his consultant contract. Like our resident pussy boy Hawk, Dennis likes to threaten people on the net but the first slap up side the head would have him on the floor whining for mercy.

-- Ra (tion@l.1), April 08, 2000.

(((Netghost))) You're a girl right?

-- Carlos (riffraff@cybertime.net), April 08, 2000.

Carlos:

You are a poster there. I don't need another life. Read the posting statistics. I am one of the people here who were religated to hell by the gittitees. We are playing this through. You can call us the Deckerites of the Flintites. Such garbage we are. But we are honest. Not correct, but honest.

Best wishes,,,,,,

-- Z1X4Y7 (Z1X4Y7@aol.com), April 08, 2000.

Carlos, Where the hell have you been? :-)

46, male, 6'1", 200 lbs, brown and blue :-)

Carlos:

You're overthinking it Z. No hell, no heaven, just us. Sorry to have over provoked.

-- Carlos (riffraff@cybertime.net), April 08, 2000.

Wow, Z. I didn't realize your post had been deleted over there...um...even though you DID imply same. [Put on those reading glasses, Anita.] I wonder if my response to Hawk on the same thread will be deleted.

Chris: Dennis and I go back several years now on the internet. We both began on the MSNBC Year 2000 Issues Forum....now defunct. I always thought Dennis was weird, and Dennis always thought *I* was weird, but we just set those differences aside and moved along. As I said on another thread, I think we're ALL a bit daft. If you're looking for perfection in humanity, your search could never end. My PERSONAL belief is that we ALL function a bit more sanely if we spend time with folks of differing opinions. If we surround ourselves with folks who think exactly as we do, we may as well be talking to ourselves. [which some of us do ANYWAY.]

-- Anita (Anita_S3@hotmail.com), April 08, 2000.

Z,

Just wondering, why were you doing a search for Dennis anyway? And what does a "large ethnic group" have to do with it?

-- Hawk (flyin@high.again), April 08, 2000.

David, yes sorry, I meant to address that post to you. And gotya on the irony. It's late here too, and I can't comment on those who need a life, cuz obviously mine seems to evolve around the keyboard the past few days.

Netghost said, " If you are an asshole, she will reflect that right back to you."

LOL, Wondering if Hawk is tolerated on EZboard because he also uses this sort of reflection, or whether OG learned it from him, or whether they happen to be soul-mates, and whether there is truth to the adage that states "an establishment's values comes from the top" or something like that. Oh well, rhetoric questions anyway. (sarcasm off)

Alright, I've indulge enough in pettiness for one thread.

-- Chris (!@#$@pond.com), April 08, 2000.

Chris:

I'm sorry...I really didn't answer your question. I think Dennis misinterpreted Z's post because he feels that this is the new debunker forum. It's a "guilty by association" thing, ya know. I hope he's clear on Z's intent now.

-- Anita (Anita_S3@hotmail.com), April 09, 2000.

Alright, I've indulge enough in pettiness for one thread.

-- Chris (!@#$@pond.com), April 08, 2000.

Yes you have... you just don't know the person you're slamming....

Hawk, practice with real names is fun, and very educational for your own security...

Anita, you are one of the most balanced views here.... hope you find a job soon :-)

-- Netghost (ng@no.yr), April 09, 2000.

"Anita, you are one of the most balanced views here"

Oh, pullllleeeeeezzze!!! When did her "balanced opinion" do any one any good? The middle-of-the-roaders like her and Decker did nothing to keep some people from buying preps.

Why aren't you thanking CPR? Why has he slipped from your tiny etherial brains?

Extremists may not be perfect, but at least they tried to help doomers in their own way.

Old Git did nothing but delete-- Anita philosophized -- Real DeBunker's: debunked.

Anita's a loser, Old Git's a loser; and so are most of the old TB sysops.

-- (doomer@turned.polly), April 09, 2000.

Chris,

"LOL, Wondering if Hawk is tolerated on EZboard because he also uses this sort of reflection"

Since the participants on the EZboard conduct themselves in a civilized fashion, we don't have the kind of intolerance problems that you have on this board. We agree, and we disagree, but we are still courteous to each other. This is the way a civilized society works. Try it, you'll like it. :-)

Netghost, are you the same person as Z?

-- Hawk (flyin@high.again), April 09, 2000.

Doomer, You are an idiot.... Creeper was a loud mouth that got lucky with his "guess" as to how things would turn out... no one knew, ask the big corp's and the us gov... Ken is just an egotistical asshole, just like his bud Flint.

Again.... OG wasn't syop on the old forum.. I Know, but I wouldn't expect a "polly come lately" to understand that...

Hawk..... No :-)

-- Netghost (ng@no.yr), April 09, 2000.

This doomer turned polly poster really has MY number. You're quite correct. I have opinions and I philosophize. I have absolutely NO INTEREST in evangelism. Even more humorous, I don't have much of a temper. [I do have a right eyebrow that raises when I feel anger.] Does that count? It sure terrifies my kids. It doesn't happen often, but I've heard, "Please mom, DON'T give me the eyebrow."

-- Anita (Anita_S3@hotmail.com), April 09, 2000.

Netghost:

I think you're wrong on OG being a moderator. She took the evening shift, somewhat late in the game, but she accepted the position and discussed it on occasion in chat.

-- Anita (Anita_S3@hotmail.com), April 09, 2000.

Netghost, I had assumed you were a fucking idiot but now you have confirmed this to be so.

-- Ra (tion@l.1), April 09, 2000.

This is really, really nice. When do we get to dissolve and take the gloves off?

-- Carlos (riffraff@cybertime.net), April 09, 2000.

Anita, OG did help out right after the roll over when LL went nuts ( sorry Laura :-) but she was never a "syops" in the true sense...

Ra... words escape me... you are # 1.... try to think of which finger is up :-)

-- Netghost (ng@no.yr), April 09, 2000.

Geee Ra, you're not making too many friends around here! Are you starting to see your reflection in the mirror? Your true colors are showing! Even your troll buddies aren't willing to help you anymore. Since you don't want to grow up, I guess you'll probably just have to use more fake names to come to your rescue.

-- Hawk (flyin@high.again), April 09, 2000.

Chris, I don't mean to be a Hardliner, but sometimes you have a very narrow view of what is going on, This from a very long time forum regular.. I've probably been here longer than you have.... don't indulge yourself too much :-)

-- Netghost (ng@no.yr), April 09, 2000.

Tag... you're it...

-- Newbie (laughingmy@ss off.here), April 09, 2000.

Z1X: Your post might have been prey to the software upgrade that ate several others. I lost one, Arlin lost one, among others. One of the "pleasures" of a board where the software changes.

cHUCK

-- Chuck, a night driver (rienzoo@en.com), April 09, 2000.

Chuck:

Maybe Z's posts were selectively disappeared by buggy software. But notice that the EZB types on this thread are not only not surprised by the idea that it was deliberate, but actually support the practice. Quite clearly, the EZB people who defend freedom of speech favor restricting this freedom to "correct" speech.

-- Flint (flintc@mindspring.com), April 09, 2000.

Ah, Carlos and Netghost... both Old Git admirers. You boys can paddle down to the Yourdon shrine and worship uninterupted. In time, perhaps someone will explain to you that the Y2K debate was not a popularity contest. Everyone gushed about how "nice" Ed Yourdon was... and he was dead wrong about Y2K. You think Old Git is just peachy... and she was dead wrong about Y2K.

-- Ken Decker (kcdecker@worldnet.att.net), April 09, 2000.

Ed was not dead wrong about Y2K. He warned the world that we had a serious problem on our hands, and fortunately the world listened. He may have underestimated their ability to get it fixed in time, but if it hadn't been for him sounding the alarm, many organizations wouldn't even have been aware of the problem until 1-1-00.

-- Hawk (flyin@high,.again), April 09, 2000.

Awww.... my 2 favorite assholes :-)

Flint... I see you're still alive and "kicking :-)

Kenny... You're just still pissed about OG outting your false Military claims... get over it boy... as a small town politician you should be used to your lies being exposed, now all you need to learn is how to spin it to your advantage :-)

-- Netghost (ng@no.yr), April 09, 2000.

One of the funniest things heard all day was from Squawk: "Ed was not dead wrong about Y2K. He warned the world that we had a serious problem on our hands, and fortunately the world listened."

Fortunately no one listened to Yourdon outside of a handful of Doom zombies, themselves hoping and waiting for TEOTWAWKI. He was wrong - Y2K is over - stick a fork in it, it's dead.

... I believe we'll start seeing [disruptions] by this summer, and I believe they'll continue for at least a year. As many people are now aware, 46 states (along with Australia and New Zealand) will begin their 1999-2000 fiscal year on July 1, 1999; New York (and Canada) will already have gone through their Y2K fiscal rollover on April 1, and the remaining three states begin their new fiscal year on August 1, September 1, and October 1. We also have the GPS rollover problem to look forward to on August 22nd, as well as the Federal government's new fiscal year on October 1st.

There is, of course, some finite probability that all of these rollover events will occur without any problems; but there's also a finite probability that pigs will learn to fly.

Folks:

I started this thread by saying that I didn't understand the Ole Gitites. I have just finished a second reading of "Stalin" by Edvard Radzinksky. It is becoming clearer. Oh well it is not that important when you fly Alaska Air.

Best wishes,,,,,

-- Z1X4Y7 (Z1X4Y7@aol.com), April 09, 2000.

Ordinarily I wouldn't be able to understand the myth that Yourdon accelerated the remediation process, when there hasn't been a single soul anywhere in the world to give Yourdon any such credit. But then I notice that this is "The proof is in the total LACK of evidence" Hawk.

I wonder if we aren't being graced by visits from residents of the Ministry of Stupid Myths?

-- Flint (flintc@mindspring.com), April 09, 2000.

Hawks credibility rating over at the EZ board is about the same as it is here.Zero. They have neutered him at Eds Place so he must hobble over here to try and recover his manhood and pimp himself in the hopes Ed will commend him for his bravado and defense of the selective fantasy crowd. However, I doubt if Hawk is a true fan of Olsons as he is smart enough to recognize the stench reeking from the bloated one. Unfortunately, Hawk would support Jeffery Dahlmer if he thought it would please his Master Ed. Got kneepads Hawkey?

-- Ra (tion@l.1), April 09, 2000.

RaTroll said,

"...neutered, blah, blah, blah...manhood, blah, blah, blah...pimp, blah, blah, blah...fantasy, blah, blah, blah...Jeffery Dahlmer (sic), blah, blah, blah,...kneepads..." -- (Brrrr@brrrr.brrrr), April 09, 2000.

Why Hawkey, are you now appearing as brrrrr? If I knew what the hell psycho-sexual pathology and Level 3 sex offender registration was I might comment. Methinks thou possess too much knowledge on the subject.

-- Ra (tion@l.1), April 09, 2000.

Ra, what Brrrr was trying to say, in words that are probably to big for you... Your posts seem to show a disturbing sexual bent that has probably gotten you in trouble in the past.. are you currently registered with the local police?... or are you in violation of your parole... hope this helps :-)

-- Netghost (ng@no.yr), April 09, 2000.

{{{Netghost!!}} LOL

-- (Brrrr@brrrr.brrrr), April 09, 2000.

It's good to know a thread can still make me laugh out loud. First, to Hawk, Yourdon wrote TB 2000 for everyone but the IT community. The IT trade press (and I read most of the trade rags in '99) made no mention of Yourdon. They were too busy working in the real world. All Yourdon managed to do was frighten a few folks with a poorly written book.

As for you NG, don't hold your breath waiting for someone to take you seriously. If you want to get your facts straight, stop by my little town (where I am NOT an elected official). I'll be delighted to show you all the documents verifying my education, professional record and military history. You'll have to give me notice if you want to see medals... my parents have them in the family "trophy case" at home. Of course, you won't bother. But hey, if it isn't convenient just tell me the adress of the convenience store where you work. (laughter)

-- Ken Decker (kcdecker@worldnet.att.net), April 09, 2000.

Kenny, I have my facts straight, you just wouldn't want to see them posted.... BTW... great work on your projects for Y2k in your small town, Mr. Manager... the minutes of the meetings make for a fun read... if you're into comedy :-)

-- Netghost (ng@no.yr), April 09, 2000.

Yeah, that Ra definitely has sexual problems, he seems obsessed with perverted thoughts on the subject! I'll bet he's a little 4 foot tall fuckrunt with a 2 inch dick. LOL!!!

Hey Ra, yeah I got some kneepads, put em on! Is your asshole big enough for me? Oh, that's right, you've been using the gerbils to stretch it out! Hee heee hee hee!!

-- Hawk (flyin@high.again), April 09, 2000.

Consumer, Why?... is it because he puffs himself up to be what he isn't and throws in a small personal attack?.... He knows nothing about me... not where or what I do for my liveing, or who I am.... just a small, bigoted comment about the " convenience store where you work" !!!!!!... It takes all kinds to make this world work. I don't work in a "convenience store", but I know many that do.... and they are human beings with lives of thier own, just like you and I... kenny ment that as an personal insult.... I'll take it as a badge of pride :-)

-- Netghost (ng@no.yr), April 10, 2000.

Hey Ra, guess I hit a home run on that one about your sexual perversions eh? Now all of a sudden you want to be nice? How sweet! Too bad you're permanently "over the edge". What's next, you gonna think up some new names? I always thought "Ra" was pretty lame, and I already know all of your other ones. :-)

-- Netghost (ng@no.yr), April 10, 2000.

Hawk, you said,

"He's even beyond schizophrenia or quadrophenia, he's got about 20 differnt names."

"Schizophrenia" generally refers to multiple personalities, not necessarily TWO personalities, but using your example maybe 20 personalities could be "dodecaphrenia" or something like that.

Helpfully,

Frank

How do you respond to that?... must be a personal problem

-- Netghost (ng@no.yr), April 10, 2000.

NG,

Well, you at least have the job title right... and it is job I enjoy. You may find the workings of a small town amusing, but the people who live and work there take them rather seriously. Of course, I hardly expect you to understand. Unlike you, I have a place in the real world. Unlike you, I don't have to hide behind anonymous Internet handle and take pot shots at people. Since you are not a convenience store clerk, why not crawl out into the light? Share with us your sterling qualifications. Dazzle us with your professional accomplishments. Nah... won't happen. You'd have to grow a backbone first.

-- Ken Decker (kcdecker@worldnet.att.net), April 10, 2000.

Kenny, again, knowing nothing about me, or my circumstances you attempt to vilify me just to boost your own small ego... there is a very good reason why I'm annon.. ask the "nut" cases from the formmer De Bunker how good my security is.. God knows they tried to trace and hack me enough times, and I have a very good reason for not wanting that to happen.

Thanx for showing what a small person you really are :-)

-- Netghost (ng@no.yr), April 10, 2000.

NG,

Of course I don't know anything about you. Nor do I have any desire to engage in some silly search exercise.

There is a very simple difference between us... other than the fact I was right about Y2K and you were wrong. (chuckle) I post under my real name and am willing to back up any claims I have ever made. You hide behind an anonymous handle and take random pot shots at people... without ever producing an original or insightful thoughts.

This is only a pastime for me. In the real world, I make a positive difference. It's a modest life, but one that gives me a great deal of satisfaction. You could publish a volume of personal attacks on the web, and I won't lose a moment's sleep over it. I'm concerned with real people in my life.

Find someone else to haunt... I just don't believe in ghosts. (laughter)
