COUPLE RESCUED FROM MARINA WATER

Emergency services turned out in force to rescue an elderly couple who fell into the water at Hythe marina on Tuesday night.

A 68 year old Hythe man was walking his dogs along the marina at 10.30 pm., when he slipped and fell in. Passers by rescued the man, and Hythe police, ambulance and coastguard arrived on the scene. The pensioner`s 63 year old wife, who was at home at the time, was contacted and she rushed down to the scene of the incident.

Unfortunately, she also slipped and fell into the marina and had to be rescued.

Both were taken to Southampton General Hospital, and although the husband had broken several ribs and the wife suffered injuries to her face, their conditions were described as `not serious`. The couple`s dogs were both unharmed.

Living life on the edge. Have I got a tale.

My Grandma went on a tour of northern Oz, part of trip was to stand on the northern most point of Cape York. Well she sliped on the wet rocks and fell off the edge of Australia.

tRICKY sLIDER

Well the tip of Cape York is the northern most point of Australia, it's atourist place with one of those official plaques that denote a land form of significance. And my Granda Ma fell off the tip. So she fell off the edge of Oz.
