DC did happen to have some rather extensive contingency plans in place for the rollover. Here's a December 19 Washington Post article about those plans.

This announcement is interesting. The previous announcement had the "media questioner" as WorldNetDaily. After a round of guffaws about that one from most of the folks here it appears that Paula has decided that having someone from Reuters (TBA) sounds a little more.....professional? Anyone want to bet that no one from Reuters shows up unless Paula somehow gets little Elian on the panel?

What can I say -- beat that dead horse! And why not. Unless you kick it a few more times, how do you know it's really dead and not faking it? Plus, a dead horse never bites back.

Paula Gordon has become the George Hamilton of Y2k

"free and open to the public"

Too expensive!

The definition of chutzpah used to be a kid who killed his parents and then threw himself on the mercy of the court because he was an orphan.

Now it is holding a y2k seminar in the year 2000.

Wow, Paula, you really ARE unsinkable...:)

Be sure to book an extra day for another extremely intellectual GWU seminar, "Dentistry for Y2K- Will Mechanical Drills Make a Comeback in the Year of No Electricity?" hosted by P. Gordon with visiting professor T. Fairy.
