I'm so happy for you, and all of yours, consumer. Thanks for reporting it and letting me rest tonight knowing you're doing Ok.

All my love and happiness,

Consumer congratulations! I would have guessed you in your late 20's, so I'm shocked. Kiss that little angel for me. =o)

-- cin (cinloo@aol.corn), April 07, 2000.

Congratulations, consumer!

If I remember correctly, you are a christian, and may not believe in astrology, but I would love to do a mini-reading for your new one.

Only with your permission, of course.

-- FutureShock (gray@matter.think), April 07, 2000.

Thanks All,

and future, MY what a GREAT memory you have...as you can tell from my recent posts, I've slipped considerably with my chritianity and I dont wish to lead anyone to believe otherwise. Been thru alot, but, hey such is life. Long time ago, I went to see a true witch and had cards read, it was right on. And ended very sadly. So if ya dont mind, I think I'll let my future and so forth take care of itself, knowing it gets me into trouble and TRUTH.....but thanks.

Cin, 20's? why thank YOU!!!! lets get honest, 38.....ouch.

Congratulations Grandma!!!!!!!!

-- Debra (happy@birthday.com), April 07, 2000.

Consumer-

I will respectfully withdraw my request. Hey-your the same age as I am-It is wonderful to be "fighting" off 40!

Really, may god bless you and yours and have a healthy, wonderous, and miraculous life!

-- FutureShock (gray@matter.think), April 07, 2000.

Future,

FWIW, i was not offended, and again, thanks for the offer......

-- consumer (shh@aol.com), April 07, 2000.

Congratulations, consumer! I've gotta tell ya...your post shines through with more joy than I can ever remember seeing in one. Your grandson is very lucky to have you for a grandma.

-- eve (eve_rebekah@yahoo.com), April 07, 2000.

Congrats, consumer!

Best wishes!

:)

-- FM (vidprof@aol.com), April 07, 2000.

I'm happy you're happy, Consumer. We don't have the patience any more for little ones, so I'm in no hurry to see my kids reproduce. Is this the son of one of your boys? Will they be living nearby?

-- Anita (Anita_S3@hotmail.com), April 07, 2000.

LOL Anita,

3 sons, 21, 19, 16, and the 19 year old is dad...go figure...from another post you will figure this one out...(smile)

I live in Cleve ohio, my son moved to Sandusky/Marblehead area which is about 60 miles away....

Like you, I'm done with the baby thingy....teens are rough enough.

So, in retrospect, I get to see baby on Their time, and the mom's family lives up there as well. So I'm kinda out.....

Can anyone say ahhhhhhh?????? pooor me, NOT,!!!! love the baby got to hold him, BUT

{{{{{{CONSUMER is taking a CRUISE, MUCH deserved.............

after having spent most of $ on baby...smile

Consumer:

Sounds like a good arrangement. As you may know, SO's daughter moved in with us after she left the no-good slime ball of whom she became impregnated. She learned that he'd racked up a $2,000 telephone bill [which was in her name] by dialing the operator to call his girlfriends [so she wouldn't be able to see the numbers dialed.] As if that weren't enough, she learned that he already had a 3 year old with another woman, and impregnated yet another woman after he did her.

As an infant, the child wasn't a bother for us. He was a good baby, didn't cry much, etc. Once he became mobile, however, and vocal, everything changed. We spent a lot of time looking at each other saying "I'm too old for this." "Yeah...me too." She moved out in January, so our home is quiet again and we don't have to remember to shut the doors on rooms we don't want invaded. It seems cruel not to have these grandparenting instincts, but after raising three of my own, I'm just now feeling some sense of relief that it's somewhat over [although it's NEVER completely over.]

I'm growing more and more curious about that huge tub in our bathroom, however, and I suspect I'll take the time this weekend to figure out how those jets work. [grin]

I think Grandpa and all the Wellwishers need a slight Attitude Adjustment for applauding the Arrival of ANOTHER one of us.I do not see any Virtue in continued senseless Breeding and certainly will not classify it as an Accomplishment. So,the next Time You sit in Traffic, spewing forth Praise to the Lord, think of what You just read.

-- Think before You breed!!! (toomany@the.trough), April 07, 2000.

Anita,

Right on, I wholeheartedly agree. Yes, I feel guilty about not having more of a grandma type instinct. I raised my 9 yr old neice for awhile and that cured that.!!!!!

Privacy is a beautiful thing, so I think I'll do fine...

Hey for the ASSHOLE re: BREEDING, To each their own, but you sir/ms. are a COMPLETE ASSHOLE......

Another one of 'us' no dont think so.......IF my child were one of 'you' I'd be worried.

Anita, ya did a great job.....IF the bathroom dont work, try the outdoors, they are WONDERFUL in winter GOOD for the pores, ya know....?????? LOL.

-- consumer (shh@aol.com), April 07, 2000.

Congrats!!! Outstanding...7'2... Thats an big 'crawler commando' there! Best wishes and health to Mom and y'all. (Mine's due July 1st)

-- Billy Boy (A Waiting on #2 Rakkasan101st@Aol.com), April 07, 2000.

Anita I've laughed my head off at your post somewhere on this board about hiding out in a rainforest to avoid the grandchildren. It expressed my sentiments exactly, for I too haven't as many grandmotherly instincts as I should. Of course I love mine dearly, but I'm not one that needs nor wants contact with them every day.

Think Before You Breed, I too think the world is suffering from overpopulation, in fact, I think it is the biggest threat we have facing us. In fact I was disappointed when my son chose to have a second one. But I don't think you should have jumped on comsumer--just my 2 cents worth. (Well Crap!! Can you believe it???!! I just discovered there is no cents key on my computer!! Is this normal? Have they done away with cents?)

-- gilda (jess@listbot.com), April 07, 2000.

Gilda:

My keyboard doesn't have a "cents" symbol either. I COULD change the configuration of my keyboard to include one somewhere, but with inflation 2 cents is worth at least a nickel....and sometimes a dime anyway.

-- Anita (Anita_S3@hotmail.com), April 07, 2000.

"Think before You breed", you should "think before you type". Your post was totally inappropriate and inconsiderate.

Consumer, congrats!! I am sure this child will be a plus for society, and hopefully offset the negative contribution of offspring of "Think before you breed's" parents,, lol! To bad someone didn't give THEM the same "unsolicited" advice he/she/it gives!

-- FactFinder (FactFinder@bzn.com), April 07, 2000.

Consumer,

Congrats,I am very happy for you and your family.

PS. Sneakin' around the whirlpool tryin to not get caught can be fun too; )

-- capnfun (capnfun1@excite.com), April 08, 2000.

Consumer, I added my congrats to this thread yesterday, not sure if you saw it since it died after I posted it.

Yep, still on the keyboard tonight. Only got to enjoy one hour of warmth and sunshine weeding my garden this afternoon before the shilly wind and clouds ruined it. And since hubby is out bonding with his sons, I don't have much hopes to do do anything more interesting tonight.

Whirpools you say huh? hmm...

-- Chris (!@#$@pond.com), April 08, 2000.
