I am active on both forums. I see no one slamming this forum. I do understand the reasons for the move to the EZBoard. I have also seen the people on this forum get pretty upset when LL gets on/off her medication and has one of her "spells". I personally don't think that much has changed that would not have changed due to lack of y2k. Most the trolls who were causing problems are off trolling other waters, I guess. I enjoy both forums and see no problem with that. Leave them alone and they should leave you alone. There are many of us who read both forums. Consider one more forum a plus, and quick yammering about it! Instead,make a contribution of value to the forum of your choice!!

On EZBoard, discussions about this forum are considered off-topic, so of course you won't see anyone slamming this forum. Not anymore at least. LOL.

Still, I think it's telling that, in the link mentioned above, this forum is listed as:

I wonder why it is that they can't keep themselves from adding their little editorial comments to the forum name. Why would that be?

aunt bee- not old news. They had a dead link in place for this forum. Do you think they would have changed it if I hadn't posted this? No chance. They were hoping no one would notice.

They were "painted" that way by the Fuhrina and the other thought police, so that they could be "eliminated". See my comments to "hmmm.hmmmm" for further elaboration.

(hmm@hmm.hmm)- you said "I wonder why they can't keep from adding their little editorial comments...." I'll tell you why. Its called "thought policing". Even now, the true believers (present and 'future') are being "pre-conditioned". Before a person even clicks a link, they have a thought planted in their mind about who or what these people on other fora might be like. There is more on this at the Millennium Contagion website.

Funny thing is, some of the people with a "meme" don't even know they have one. They don't see their behavior as irrational, it is just....justified! "Don't bother me with the facts please!"

The whole y2k hysteria thing is going to play out over the next few years. I think anyone wanting to study the "madness" online should have clear access to historical database; NOT an "after the fact" whitewashed record. Like it or not, THAT is what the mods of the old forum were trying to do....eliminate part of the "trail", by simply providing a dead link instead of an active, ACCURATE one.

BTW, if anyone wants a laugh, do a search on "diane squire" or any other of the "regular" doomers of timebomb fame. The links you get are a crack up! If ANY of those people think they will just "wander away" from what they did last year, they need a phsyciatrist.

Hmmm has a point. As the administrator of this board, I made a point not to sound like I'm discouraging participation at TB2K EZboard in my About section.

I find whoever the sysop that wrote this on the old TB2K's About section is showing pettiness.
