greenspun.com : LUSENET : Running on Empty - The Coming Petroleum Exhaustion Dieoff : One Thread

Hi Guys,

This is what Phil Greenspun's Lusenet forum looks like, very spare and simple. It lacks a lot of refinement of a Onelist or EZBoard or Cool board, but I don't need silly icons nor do I enjoy waiting 15 seconds for a two-line message to open. If nothing else, it's accessible.

Now that Bruce Thompson has assumed the moderatorship of RunningOnEmpty, the mail list, and committed it to being a working forum directed at spreading the word through the press and other outlets, I felt we moldy old philospher types needed a place to muse, ruminate and expectorate. You with us on this, Scott?

If so, get over here and welcome your guests. I'll get busy polishing the spittoon.

Thanks Halllyx. As long as it is just the few of us, this forum at least spares anybody having to be 'moderator' (yuck!). I haven't delelted anything from this board and wouldn't expect to ever have to.

One of the nice things about the new "TB2K uncensored" board is the light moderator workload. And that's with over 100 posts a day.

Also it's much easier to skip posts or threads in which one is not interested using this format. Another reason I recommend it.
