MOROCCAN TRAIN CRASH KILLS AT LEAST 35

Rabat, Mar 01, 2000 (EFE via COMTEX) -- Thirty-five people died Wednesday when a train smashed into a tractor at a railway crossing in northwestern Morocco, authorities said.

Another nine people were seriously injured in the crash of the train which was travelling between the northern port city of Tangier and Casablanca.

Officials said a group of farmers were towing the tractor across the railway tracks near the city of Alcazarquibir when the train crashed into it. EFE
