Andy Steever's Oar book

A recent question reminded me about "Oars for Pleasure Rowing: Their Design and Use" by Andrew B. Steever, published by Mystic Seaport back in 1993. Its technical but has lots of meat for designing oars or tuning them. Don't let the math scare you.

I want to second that. The book is available from the Mystic Seaport Museum where it is published and is easily the most thoughtful and complete work ever written on oars and rigging for fixed-seat rowing.
