The images look really good, but you absolutely must compress them more! There is no reason for any image the size you're showing to be larger than 50k, and yet many are in the 80-100k range. Run it through jpg compression & let us know when it's up!

I expected something special but: BORING.

Your private email to me indicates that, while you ask the question "worth watching?" you are apparently interested only in praise and are in fact not interested in an opinion which is less than complementary. I quote from your letter: "Open your eyes and look, grasshopper," and complaining that my response "was childish and boring." I have again looked through them, re-evaluating the composition and content, and find no reason to change my mind. Had you asked why I found them boring I would have gladly shared my particular impressions, giving you the opportunity to see whether my critism was valid or if I was full of sh**. Instead, I will give you one hint; start by checking out the unposed pictures of people, (NYC Subway, Chicago, Paducah, etc) by Walker Evans (Walker Evans at Work, 1982, Harper and Row). These pictures are over 50 years old, and yet are NOT boring.

Funny thing... I just had a write up about my site in a local weekly newspaper and the reporter/gallery owner said my work lands somewhere between lee friedlander and WALKER EVENS!!!

Go Figure!!! :) More like a cross between Robert Frank and August Sanders if you ask me...
