Who is Not King of Comedy?

Does anybody know what, or who, 'King of Comedy' from 'Monster' (Surely the best album of 1994?) is actually about? Is it yet another Andy Kaufman reference? I need to know, this song gets stuck in my head every time I hear it!

This song is obviously about Michael and how he feels like he is some sort of clown and entertaining certain people& to the media.(well part of it is-like the ending-I'm not your magazine, television, etc.) The rest is about how people lie, cheat, and steal to get what they want and then go to Church on Sundays to make themselves look good. When their methods are questioned, they answer questions with questions. You could also say this song is about how these hypocrits mentioned above look down on Stipe & his life& struggles as a comedy of sorts, but that's just what I get out of it.It could be interpreted many ways.

This song is supposed to be about Kurt Cobain and how he couldn't handle the fame thing. It was written after his death,I think. It's a very sarcastic and dark song ,Michael was greiving.
