1/250sync 35mm manual focus with CLOTH shutter?

Does any such a camera exist? I break metal shutters. I don't break cloth shutters. I shoot mixed lighting a lot, and I'm feeling quite 'tied-down' with my 6x7 system, which has no motordrive available...sorry for the basic question. shawn

Nope, I don't think so Shawn. The newer Nikons are Carbon-Fibre I believe, but I can't believe that a cloth shutter would outlast a Titanium one anyway. Whadya do, stick your fingers through 'em?

I'm starting to think it's because I used to bulk load, and at either end of the roll, something screws up and snags the shutter. I'm very careful, honest. I'll probably just get an FM2n, and be as careful as possible...and pray. shawn

I have just read your post and since you say you tend to break shutters and it seems that you are looking for a FM2n style camera, I couldnt hold myself from commeting you about the FE2 (yes I know I Already comented the camera on another post, but I just love it) Since you already found the FM2 Body aceptable (in terms of ergonomy)I think you should have a look at the FE2 (same body style) since the shutter is titanium made (very strong) against the aluminum (some sort of alloy) one on the FM2n (just like the one in the 801, I think), second of all, the first one Is told to be tested for 100.000 exposures, just in the middle between the 150.000 of the F series and the 50.000 of the regular comsumer series. Apart from that the FE2 has TTL (may come handy) an aperture priority program, and longer shutter speed till 8 sec's. And last of all, electromagneticly controled shutter, doesnt need as much atencion and care as a mechanical one, my FE just had its first checkup after 20 years, and was only slightly decalibrated, so I see this as a plus. ho, 1 last comment, great exposure system (maybe its the same as in the FM2n, the only thing I know is that I had very good experiences with its meter, never failed me down).

Just have a look at it, before buying the FM2.

Good luck, I'm sure that wathever you go for will be a good desicion.
