Northwest Airlines Grounded in Detroit

Channel 2 News, in Detroit, at 6 p.m. reported that Northwest Airlines has been grounded. No flights in or out of Detroit. A cable line was cut by a consruction crew in Minneapolis. Planes in the air landed safely but passengers were not allowed to disembark. They didn't state the reason way a cut cable in Minneapolis would affect Detroit.
