What's happening to this Sport?

I'm only 21 and I can remember a few years back when selling a bike was hard to do. This sport is exploding, and any form of recreational activity seems to be exploding right now. Whether its boating, camping, and yes unfortunately motocross...I say unfortunately because with recreational popularity this puts a high demand on motorcycles. Because of this its hard for some of us to afford the sport. Due to supply and demand, prices of used bikes seem to be at their highest. The sad thing about this is if you pick a price you want to sell your bike at you can more then likely get it. No matter how outrages that price is, somebody will buy it. Its becoming harder and harder to find a place to ride, and when we go to the tracks on a nice day your bar to bar at times. All I am asking is if this popularity and lets hope "trend" will eventually slow down. Lets not forget the roots of this sport. Keep it real if its something you truly love to do. Don't simply take advantage of something that was probably a friends Idea. For those of us who have a passion for the sport as I do, you probably can remember a time when you sat down and thought about where this sport is heading. Please respond if you can relate.
