Brady and Hamilton have gone to Norwich on loan which will relieve the wage bill a bit and the Middlesbrough fixture has been changed to May 2nd from April 24th because of internationals.
Finally the debacle with Bedklington Town continues after tonights game has been postponed due to their injury crisis and they may now be kicked out of the cup. So in affect we could be through to the final.
Oh yes and I still can't get my bl**dy web page out because I think I've been had by some dodgy webhosting company:)

And your guess in the Daily Toon attendance competition is about 300 more than the Anfield capacity - tactics?

Well I could still be within 500.,mmm I better rethink. Can I do it again?

-- Anonymous, March 21, 2000

you can do it as many times as you like - but I'll take the last number entered.
after last weeks guess of 32,000 I let ITK know what my guess was this week - just to stop any cheating calls. (Couldn't believe it when your guess came in exactly the same as mine!).
What's happened with your webspace provider then?

I needed a cgi (?) account so that I could set up a really good forum on my site, that together woth the fantastic free email address (you'll all love it) I thought would be guarantees to get high hits. So I decided that it was worth spending a few dollars a month to set it up. I'm just hoping I haven't been fleeced.

Will any of the clubs that members of the unwanted 13 go to on loan be able to afford these players in the summer as a permenant transfer. Should NUFC actively try and find lower division clubs that these player could go on loan to, who would benefit from having our rejects and be able to afford them.

The problem Tre is that most of these goons are so highly paid that lower division Clubs can't aford to meet their wage demands, never mind the transfer fee. Even if the Toon were to waive any transfer fee it is debatable whether the wage problem can be overcome.

The players simply refuse to move for lower wages, preferring to sit on their @rses at the Toon and see out their contracts. The only way out would be for the Toon to waive transfer fees AND make the players an up-front payment representing the shortfall in wages over the residual contract period. Looking on the postive side, these problems will disappear as these specific player's contracts expire.

This holy mess is but one end-result of mismanagement at the Club over the past couple of years.
