Can't play VCD on my CD Rom -HELP!!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I have an IBM i-series laptop with Intel P300 with 96megs of Ram running Win98.

I purchased a few VCD's from Thailand but am unable to play it on my CD-Rom. I keep getting an error message 'format not supported'. I have downloaded MSMedia Player and Xing MPEG player but it still doesn't work.

Could someone out there tell me what I'm doing wrong. This has been really bugging me.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers, Isaacs George igeorge@paradise.net.nz

Go to settings from start button, choose folder options - show all files. Then go to my computer, choose cdrom drive. explore files until you find .dat file, use open with windows media player 6.5 or 7. media player will not find it on it's own you need to do this every time.
