NTI CD-Maker

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

Hello pals.

Last night I was at the NTI Home Web Page and found that the NTI CD-Maker software is on a big discount only for this month.

http://www.ntius.com/

If you would like to create High Bit Rate VCDs ( 352x240 ) and XVCDs ( 704x480 ) for the Pioneer DV-525 ( for example ) this software is great.

The reduce price is $ 39.00 U.S. buying online. Hope this helps some of you, I will be buying it.

Good luck.

P.D. No, no, no. I do not work for them ( yet ).

Hey Roberto this is an interesting concept, from the readme file:

F. Video CD 2.0

You can use NTI CD-Maker Pro to create Video CD, however, this version does not allow you to create the menu-type of interactive feature in Video CD 2.0. To create this kind of Video CD 2.0, please follow the steps: (1) Use VideoPack 4.0 to prepare your Video CD 2.0 project. (2) Save the project to .RAW image files in hard disk. (3) Open CD-Maker Pro, choose Video CD type. (4) Add the .RAW image files into the CD-Maker Pro's Video Item window, in the track sequence order. (5) Record to the target CD-R.

The trial version does not seem to allow you to use the VCD making bit so I guess one needs to buy at half price.

Thanks

Thanks for the tip Roberto. I downloaded the trial version about a month ago and had already burned my alotted 10 video cd's and was debating rather or not to spend the $79 when I saw your posts. For that price NTI is a must have software. If you haven't tried it they offer the full version as a demo and allow you to use it 10 times before purchasing.

It's rather unfortunate that CD Maker doesn't burn VCD 2.0. Rather than suggesting to use videopack, NTI might as well provide the pluggin or profile to make the software more versatile. After all, videopack is so expensive.
