SAN FRANCISCO -- United Airlines Flight 206 bound for Washington D.C.'s Dulles airport returned to San Francisco shortly after takeoff Sunday night because of a problem with oil pressure.

The plane landed without incident around 11:30 p.m., airport duty manager Gerry Alley said.

The Airbus A320 carried about 130 passengers and six crew members who boarded another Airbus A320 and departed soon after, Alley said.

The low oil pressure affected one of the plane's two engines and the pilot elected to turn around, Alley said. "It's a precautionary thing, not dissimilar to maybe the 'check engine' light coming on in your car and you go to the gas station to get it checked."
