Sorry. I don't know why it won't load.

Carlyn,

It looks like you created the question properly but when I manual try to go to the web site and load the picture it can't be found. Check to make sure your file name is correctly spelled and that the case matches. Like Fowwinterdance.jpg is different than foxwinterdance.jpg etc. When you figure it out just post an answer to you own question and imbed the proper

The file is there - it's just that Netscape and IE don't seem to be able to display it. If you right click on the place where the image should be and save the file, it saves OK and I can view it im my image processing software (Micrografx Picture Publisher). I've no idea why it's not loading here. It doesn't seem to be in any odd sort of format (progressive jpeg or similar). If anyone figures out what's going on, please let me know.

The image is visible in Photoshop, but not web browsers or microsoft "photo editor", whatever that is. Hm.

How ever did you get the foxes to do that? The background is a bit lacking, but as a dynamic image of animal behavior it's first rate. Perhaps you could use photoshop to put them in front of lake louise or something more picturesque. :)

Thanks for the comments. Glad you could see the image, even if it had to be in photoshop. Nothing like discussing a GHOST image. Does it matter that I use a MAC? I did convert from the Photoshop file to a jpeg file, so I don't understand why no one can just see the image on Photonet's site. As for the foxes-it is rare to be able to catch this behavior on camera-this is an aggressive display between two males, usually but not always done around breeding time. It's on surface ice of a local river here in Minnesota. As for the suggestion of placing them digitally on a different background, I am not someone who uses the digital tools to change my images beyond what cropping or dogging and burning do. Guess I'm just a purest and want to believe the images I see printed, though I know that lot's of forged Images are out there. Thanks for your comments. I HOPE someone figures out how I can upload an ima

I see dead images./I> :)

I really like this image, except for the background. I can't tell if those are sprites from JPEG compression or bad bokeh; I suspect the former. Other than that, it's very nice, a great moment. How many other photos of this scene did you take to get this one, may I ask?

Sorry about that -- let me turn off that italic tag.

The file will not display in Netscape or IE because it's header contains all kinds of extra junk.
This is the header:

Also it looks like you are using Photoshop 3.0. Some of the jpeg export routines and pluggins in the early versions of photoshop have been know to do this whenever you try to include information about the file, like a name. You should consider upgrading. Hope this helps.
