Could someone please tell me how to permanently get rid of those horrible "thousand leggers" that get in the house? I had not seen one for a few years, but last night I saw one in the kitchen. They are so horrible, I could scream. How do I get rid of them? Help please!!

IF MY THINKING IS CORRECT, I BELIEVE CENTIPEDES LIKE MOISTURE. IS THERE A LEAKING DRAIN OR SOMETHING THAT ATTRACTED IT? IF NOT, HOPEFULLY IT JUST GOT IN AND WAS TRYING TO FIND IT'S WAY OUT. I DON'T REALLY KNOW OF ANY KIND OF FOOD TO POISON THEM. GOOD LUCK THOUGH!

Two nights ago in MY kitchen there was a huge daddy longlegs spider dangling right in front of my nose when I went to use the sink.Usually, we don't have spiders in the house because the centipedes happily eat them up.All kidding aside, I dislike any bugs who invade my home, however, the centipedes and I have a mutual understanding....they kill the spiders, and I ignore the centipedes..it works for me (and them).I take it you would be happier without either??? Then sprinkle a little Borax powder around the pipes under your kitchen sink. If you also place a sardine-type can with a few tablespoons of water next to the Borax, the centipedes will ingest both and die, but be aware, you may find a few crawlies around this summer when there aren't any centipedes left to munch them.

oops, had yet another "senior moment"...it's Boric Acid powder, NOT Borax....sorry

I don't know about Jeanne, but I'd rather have the daddy longlegs than the centipedes YUCK!. I hope the boric acid works.
