The explosion reportedly triggered a panic in Kausar Niazi Colony where the incident occurred.

The residents of the colony raised alarm and cried out for help as they presumed it a big blast and ran fearing for their lives. The situation was reportedly under control after the police and Edhi volunteers rushed to the scene and mounted their operation. The police, however, described this explosion as a minor incident.
