I have a Nikon F3HP and I would like to extend the reach of my Nikon AFD 80-200 f/2.8 (tripod collar version) with a Sigma APO Teleconverter 2x EX.

Is it possible that the Sigma APO Teleconverter can damage my F3HP? Sigma/Denmark dissuade me from the experiment!
