Job description: In this position, you will manage multiple projects concurrently. You will ensure that metadata is collected and the data dictionary is maintained. You will create and maintain databases in development and perform the QA, monitoring, and tuning. You will implement backup, recovery, shutdown, and rollback segment plans in conjunction with developers, workstation services, and operations. Advise development staff on best use of indexes and locking mechanisms. You will also monitor disk needs for all databases and notify the LAN engineering department in advance to acquire additional hardware. Our client is looking for someone who works well independently and as pert of a team. Above average written and oral communication skills are needed. Must also understand application architecture, data modeling and training.

Required skills: Minumum of 2 years data processing experience, minimum of 1 year Database Administration experience. SQL-2 years.

Salary: $70,000 per year.
