Old Pentax Rigid / Waist Level Finders on new 67II ?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Pentax 67 SLR : One Thread

Can this be done? My problem is that with the old bellows unit on the new 67II body with the AE finder I can't attach the body to the bellows because the finder hangs out too far. I'm hoping that I can use the old WLF or rigid finder. Does anyone have experience with the NEW rigid finder? Does it stick out past the lens mount less than the AE prism??

According to Pentax the only old finder which can not be used with the P67II is the old TTL finder. The rigid and waist level finders shoud work without problem.

Rolf, I'm new to the Pentax 67 system and have never used a bellows, but if you added a short extension tube to the body first, then attached the bellows to the extenstion tube, wouldn't there be enough clearance to avoid hitting the prism with the bellows?

I appreciate the suggestion Bob, but the bellows is an outer bay mount and the extension tubes won't work... already tried it :)

Pentax also makes extension tubes for the outer bay mounts. I have a set of two that I use with my 600mm lens, which is outer bay mount.

I may be late but I have the P67II and the OLD rigid magnifying hood does work with it and it does not stick out as far as the AE finder. It should work with your bellows.
