I thought OTRF had already told us that whole threads have been deleted that were started by a fake LL, and had in some cases several responses, and that the IP address was identical for both the original post and all the different responses. And NONE of them were LL's address, either.

The resemblance between such techniques and the "us against them, attack the enemy" orientation of several notorious posters among the censorites is uncanny.

All this being said, no one will deny that even the "nice" LL has been a notorious spammer, not only in the "old" TB forum, but even the uncensored Biffy and Debunkie forums. Even the "real" LL will not deny her childish tirades against Diane, calling her out for s spitwad/pea shooter fight, etc. As near as I can tell, the "real" and the "fake" and any other LadyLogics out there are just trolls.

I know we should let bygones be bygones, and I think it's good she got a new start here.

LadyLogic has gotten far more attention than she deserves. She has contributed nothing of value to this forum. She is a sick individual. If she had anything of value to say, she would straighten up, assume a new name, and start contributing.

Flint, I'm not going to back and get the posts, but, if you've been reading all of the posts I'm in, you know that Old git is posting on this board. Obviously, Chuck is, and I think there's one other female sysop posting also .

However, OTFR is to moral and ethical to give me their ISP's, so I'll never know about the third one.

Clearly, they still have an "us against them" mentality.

Richard, it is unfortunate that you thought you had no recourse to reply to my email, and resorted to post this here. But since you did, I'll clarify a few things and answer your questions here also. It might help others too.

1) I don't know how you have your email program setup, but usually with any program simply selecting the "reply" feature would automatically insert the original sender's address in the appropriate field. Look up under "options" or "preferences" in your program to see if this feature was enabled. Also, I'm not aware of any email program that doesn't show the sender's email address somewhere in the email you received. But again, look in your options/preferences to see if it was suppressed.

2) If you had read the "About" section on this forum, you would have found my email address, as well as my policy and reasons for this forum.

And now to answer your questions.

Yes, Laura has spammed the classic TB2K forum with screen fulls of same threads for several days. Laura has explained her own reasons for doing this on other threads. I try hard not to judge and give my personal views and feelings as a sysop, and so I won't comment on this. I have explained my philosophy on another thread, the first day I opened this forum. In a nut shell; Everyone's past sins are forgiven and given a chance to start on a "clean slate". Without this philosophy, an uncensored forum would not be possible.

Perhaps you confuse "sysop police" with "thought police". The stated goals (in the About) and unstated goals for this forum is the free flowing, uncensored exchange of ideas, views and opinions. To misrepresent oneself as someone else, to "troll" and to spam are direct attacks against these goals, so therefore an attempt at disrupting this process. As a sysop, my job is to facilitate the goals stated for this forum.

Also, do not confuse troll posts with anonymous posts. There are, in my opinion, the legitimate reasons why some people would choose to post under a different name for different discussions, as long as those different names (and real or fake addresses) are not taken by someone else already. What differentiates a troll post from an anonymous one is the intent of the poster; is the poster's intent to take part of the discussion civily, or simply to attack and flame? The former would be legitimate, the latter would be deemed a "troll".

I hope this answers your questions and helps others as well.

Thank gawd OTBFR! You know, it always bothers me when someone posts another persons private email. Unlike posting to an open forum, private email should remain sacred. Hopefully, there will be laws in the future to protect email privacy.

Maybe there already are laws covering this--anybody know? I'm aware of employers rights to their company property (email), but I haven't heard of similar laws protecting individuals in their home.

Anyway, appreciate your straight forwardness OTBFR. I kind of knew that from the start, whoever you are. Your initial welcome came across as "one of us" who values freedom, and abhors intimidation.
