Using Xing encoder, some of my avi's encode off center, why?

This may eb kinda strange, but I am using Macromedia Flash to create some title clips. I export them as avi's with the correct dimensions '352x240' but when I try to encode them with Xing, the image is off center. about 10% off the left side, and wraps back around the right. My Xing seems to do well with avi's from Adobe Premier. Anyone have any idea what might cause this, or have any experience with the same sort of trouble? The only reason I am using Flash is it's very easy to use interface.
