[Fair Use: For Education and Research Only] 10. Mars 2000 Fighter planes alarmed airline passengers Three British fighter planes came so close last night to a Widerxe passenger plane on route between Bodx and Skagen (North Norway) that both the crew and passengers reacted. The fighters flew over, under and at the same altitude as the airliner, which had 36 passengers on board. The Department of Defence and the Civil Aviation Authority are investigating what happened. The British Tornado fighters are participating in a military exercise called "Joint Winter". http://www.norwaypost.no/content.asp?cluster_id=11646&folder_id=1

O.K. So whats the take on this Joint Winter designation?

NATO has a joint exercise every winter - this year it's in Norway. The soldiers that were killed in the roof collapse in Norway were participants in this exercise.

It sounds like the Tornado pilots may have become a little "overenthusiatic". War games have a tendency to stimulate the old testosterone :^)
