joe90 content

greenspun.com : LUSENET : It's All About Joe 90: The Discussion Board : One Thread

this is my traumatic joe90-related post for the day.

i was in a fender bender today.

im ok, everything is ok. my car is scratched, and the stupid lady who hit me made it seem like it was my fault (i almost jumped over the officer and knocked her upside her big fat head. yes, i hold a grudge.). but since there wasn't any damage worth $1000 or more, and no one was hurt, they don't file a police report. they just *log it* into their stupid little police books.

i was in the go straight lane, and she was in the left turn-only lane. i went straight, like i was supposed to, and she decided to ride up along side me and go straight as well. leon goes boom-boom. the rest is above.

so im just mad. that stuff pisses me off. i try hard to be a good driver, and stupid-ass people, like this lady, try to offer me $100 and write it off like nothing happened. "um hello, you hit my FUCKING car! this is LEON we are talking about. $100 i dont think so."

so yeah.

anyways, the joe90 part was that when the lady hit us, i had the warfield boot on. "gone" was playing. "its alright its alright its..." ::::crash::::

kinda ironic, dont ya think? after driving all over the northeast, at all times of the day and with little to no sleep.....i get in an accident up the hill from my house. who the hell woulda guessed it.

im going to go listen to joe90. and get my shit together.

Dalton, thanks for posting the link to that banner. it's always great to see stuff like that, and it's really nicely done! :)

happy weekend everyone.

hey jill. sorry to hear about poor leon :[ first car accidents (okay, maybe all?) are really traumatic. my car was WRECKED 3 months after i started driving (not my fault either) - i was listening to letters to cleo :]

hehe. but....it coulda been worse? is that a perky upside to this? woo just completed my training at work. and i got the week off without a hitch. im a good employee arent i? 'you hired me? great, im going to see my favorite band and i have to take the week off bye!'. hehe.

yay only six days till omaha :o. am i the only person not dying to go to the spokane show? i mean, i'd love to see the boys...but lit and save ferris? hehehe. Save Ferris are really good performers tho - or they were, i havent seen them for the new record. a friend used to drag me to see them at the roxy. save who?

umm. my kingdom for a nap. its stuffy in my room and my grandparents are here. yay family dinner. i just wanna sleeeeep. HAPPY HYPER NOTE! i bought film on the way home a few minutes ago. haha. they didnt have the less-grainy kind tho. damn. being in a film store just makes me :D you know? it smells so good.

i am not a bob dylan fan. don't go see bob dylan unless you like him. otherwise you'll sit on the floor writing in the dark going "this song is famous huh?" and watching the old people dance :p

the end. its stuffy. much love to everyone!!! miss each and every one of you to the painful extent. smooshies.

meow. RUFF!........ woof.

awwwwww Jill!

Drivers suck!

On a happier note, has everyone seen the banner picture of Joe90 on the top of the Counting Crows Mediatrip.com message board? Its at http://www3.mediatrip.com/crows/content/board.html .

I get the feeling you all will like it.

That's all from me, except to say HEY--LETS SPLIT THE JOE90 BOARD IN HALF!

:P

sorry about leon! the "it's alright... CRASH" thing reminds me of when i was in a car that got rear-ended. we were listening to the elton john song "someone saved my life tonight" and it was on the "butterflies are free to fly.. fly away... high away... CRASH... bye bye". that would have been even more ironic if we'd died, but fortunately that didnt happen.

erin, watching old people dance is fun!! it was at the springsteen concert at least. i think me and the person i went with were the youngest people there by 20 years, besides the kids whose parents brought them along. it was so much fun though. i love bruce. i think joe 90 should cover thunder road.

i'm so sleepy. why am i not sleeping? force of habbit.

joe90 content. i heard drive on the radio again today (okay okay i called and asked.) and it was on the WAY to the horrendous family dinner, and my dad turned the song up loud mid-way and was all into it. hee. then i told him it was joe90. it made me happy.

Dalton - i DO like your banner. a lot. its really nice :D:D and i adore that photo. one o' the few.

hey guess what. i finally took off the charlatans! for oasis. i love the new album. who feels love?

does everyone have fun "i was listening to this when i was in a wreck" stories? when that lumber truck slammed into me after i got back from tori tour it was the offspring. thats what i get for not changing the stations.

i just wanted to say i hate reality. and my parents. i made the mistake of referring to myself, and my camera, as an 'artist' to my father. he rolled his eyes at me and gave me the most disgusted look. he said 'oh get real.' so what am i doing now? im looking up fucking photography programs. ill pay for it myself, somehow.

the end. i know you missed me. exoh.erin

kathy, keep your thunder road-requesting trash off this board, please ;P

it would be cooler if joe90 covered born to run. dont ask.

so i am back from my ex-ska-vaganza. i missed the first two bands (yay) and came in just in time for Step Lively, who are from Long Island (wrongway inn, anyone?!). i've seen them before....and by the time they hit the last 3 songs, they are really great. then the Sellouts....who are, seriously, like 16/17 yrs old. i think they are from boston. they were good. they did a little metallica for us, which was cool. different. then big d...who weren't as good as they've been in the past, but they have so much fun and are such nice guys that i can't help but love them. im a softy for cute skank boys. people kept bumping into, too. do i look shove-able or something?! do i make you wanna push me around?!

anyway, as i was watching the bands set up and take down their stuff.....it just struck me as being very funny. these are KIDS (like, seriously) and they cart all their equipment around in their parents chevy minivans. at least joe90 has the supervan/bus wannabe. with the towing thingy on back. insane, man. totally insane.

and yeah, the ska is fun. as long as you dont get fugged up in the moshing and sh*t....but it isnt anything without fun people to share it with. standing alone sucks. i wish we could all be there. and i wish it could have been joe90 :]

night night*

>kathy, keep your thunder road-requesting trash off this board, please ;P

oh, and I'M the bitch?? :)

i pretty much gave up on requesting that for counting crows though. cause i'd have to talk to adam duritz to do that, and i'm sick of him... so what the hell am i going to 7 of their concerts for in may?? i want joe 90 and dave gibbs to be there, these shows will be so depressing.

you're right though. thunder road isnt right for them. born to run would be better. but i think they should play either "it's hard to be a saint in the city" or "streets of philadelphia"... i guess because of the "na na na"s. i have no clue why i was thinking about this, but i want a springsteen cover!

>>then big d<<

i am big d and dont you forget it.

i heard from a friend that newby's is 18+ which sucks for me because i dont think i could pass for 4 years old, let alone 18. i'll call tomorrow and get the scoop.

yes it is a cool banner. i like it.

i am kind of drunk. but then again, its better than watching sunday night tv.

dalt, thanks for the mediatrip link. that is a very very cool website, i dont check it out enough. i listened to the 2 minute and 48 second interview :P i had to fist-fight my mediaplayer though, it kept trying to make me update, even though i updated it the other day. the update doesnt really improve anything, imo. and i am not even going to comment on joe90's chosen attire. i cant *go there* at 1:12 am.

its been a month since this whole stalkathon thing started. can you believe it? time has flown, but it still seems like it was only yesterday. eek. im loving my cure album, and i also bought Luna, which is very cool in itself. very very cool. sue makes me want to listen to "out of this world" on repeat for like, hours. self control is rough.

"will we really remember how it feels to be this alive?"

ok i need sleep. lots of stuff to do tomorrow :P "real lives are why we stay"

if that doesnt make you wanna cry like a baby, i dont know what will.

Hey all,

Sorry I haven't been posting lately. My accident-prone son has been quite active lately. The newest injury is a 3rd degree burn on his finger. Poor boy. He is fine though, busy singing "Truth"

They played Ferris Wheel on Sports Night, tonight. Very exciting.

Take care, and to quote Sue, I miss you all.
