Someone asked me to explain why I said cpr is ignorant. I over-stated that a little bit because misguided is more accurate.

For months now, he's been supportive of a woman (Lisa) who has demonstrated an inability to understand even the simplest of instructions. (See DeBunker's for examples.) Today, she has demonstrated her disgust towards this forum and polly's in particular. I really don't understand this us vs. them attitude because we were all doomers at one time, but it doesn't matter what I think about it, there are people here who clearly think that way.

Lisa is one of them, and she's proven today how ugly she is. For the life of me I can't figure out why she would want to test the limits of this forum. I could understand that from Diane, but why Lisa? Do you have something personal against OldTB2K, Lisa? Or, do you have something against a community that is simply trying to decide what should be allowed, and what shouldn't. Don't answer me. I don't really care what you think.

At any rate, I used to think that cpr was a pretty smart guy. He's been right about a lot of things, and I thought his work should be put into a book, or at the very least archived at my universities. I even went out and bought a zip drive to do it. However, I noticed, cpr, that your thinking is flawed recently - in writing - and the archives seem pointless now. Somewhere I read that you thought that TB might be spamming their own place to "keep the pot stirred." That's the one conspiracy that wasn't going on there. I did it. Just me and Doomers@suck, nobody else. You should have e-mailed me to verify that before plastering it on the internet. You also stated recently that I wasn't a DeBunker. I don't know what the hell you meant by that, and don't really care, because I don't define myself in general terms. However, I have reduced the FUD by some small degree in Phoenix, and I'll never let you diminish that.

Of course, I'm going to get blasted with another round of "You're crazy!"...but so what. I'd rather be called crazy than mean like you and Lisa. You two belong together.

HEY. There are TWO "Lisas".

One is out in Far North East Texas (Texarkana) and seems to be the one you get tangled up with.

The other one is an I.T. professional near the Center of the greatest State who one would think would know better than to be taken in by the poppy cock that passed for information from the online doomzies she chose to hang with.

I never "supported" Lisa only her right to make a fool of herself on Debunky and Biffy. Every one of the other debunkers had another view.

Thats why I started the MEMETTE joke.

Recently, there is some evidence that there remains people who seem unable to accept the conclusion of Y2k even after 2/29/2000. Lisa may be one of them.

Irregardless of which Lisa it is, her one comment is being overscrutinized, as was Flint's "kicking the anthill" comment. Everyone in some way "jacks with their irritators" at these forums. Why? Because we can.

I don't know why people keep getting in arms over this. Let's face it, this really isn't about people going after people. This is all about intenet personas. If we were all in the same room discussing the issues on these boards, we would have much more civil conversation and the doomer/polly labels would not be so easily tagged on one another. We definitely treat people differently when dealing with them over the net, as stereotypes seem to rule and the easiest way to deal with their stance is to instantly categorize them. For better or for worse, that is the nature of the internet beast.

Then again, if we were all in a room together, it is questionable as to whether or not there would be any discourse at all. We would all be too busy trying to disarm Hawk or stop LadyLogic from pressing the trigger on the bombs that she had strapped to her body.

I can't keep up with everyone airing their personal relationships and bickerings and risking to turn this forum into a soap opera, but I'll ask you all not to use html in your signatures, as I've asked Possible Impact in this thread.

SO WHAT. I personally know more "C" students from college who have "A" student's working for them. I happen to fall into that category. Our "A" employees (students) are so caught up in the minutia, they can't seem to grasp the "big" picture. It's more the rule than the exception. They are barely making it because they would rather have the "title" than the reward. Most are social derelicts who are so involved in theorems, and analogs, and graphs, that they can't fathom how "real business" gets done. LL, are you beginning to understand YOUR INDOCTRINATION? The fact is, the more education you acquire through academia, the more of an idiot you become out in the real world. I spend several hours a year speaking to business and economics classes at the local university because the professors have come to realize something very important over the years...what is being taught in the classrooms and auditoriums of our distinguished and "esteemed" universities is "steer manure". So I come in and give them the truth, not the "theorem", or the "formula", or the "equation"...LL, you stay in this line of thought, and you will remain an unhappy, unsatisfied, unfulfilled, and selfishly empty vassel called a human being. And by the way, you are too afraid to give your life for anyone, for you are yet to find a life to sacrifice for. I'm, of course, continuing to hope for you.

Now, to address the last bit of your drivel... I have accomplished much to be proud...the least of which is to confront you on this medium we call "the net". In closing LL, I am actually sad for you more than anything. You find comfort and status in delerious attacks on those whom you consider weak or misinformed. Irony abounds. LL spends so much time bragging about her B.S. degree (sum.cum.loudly), yet cannot construct cogent essays, let alone craft them with any noticeable degree of mastery of the English language. In fairness, many of the forum participants of higher academic achievement (and there are many with Masters and Doctorates here) struggle with written debate as well.
