Recent acute solar motion may be harmful to people, today's Beijing Morning Post cited one expert as saying. According to Zhang Guiqing, senior staff member of the Beijing Solar Motion Monitoring Center, solar motion is now in a peak period, one that occurs every 11 years, and the solar wind will have some influence on power supplies and communications systems on earth. "Two huge sunspot groups, each larger than the earth and visible to the naked eye, have appeared on the surface of the Sun," Zhang was cited as saying. Because the influence of solar wind on the human body has not been scientifically determined, the newspaper said, it is better for a person not to open to blazing sun for too long.
