Do you have spring fever yet?

So, do you guys have spring fever? Are you all about skipping class or work or whatever to go play outside? Do you find yourself skipping occasionally? Yeah, that's what I thought. Go ahead, discuss amongst yourselves.

Yes, I think I do... Monday lunchtime I went for a run on the beach... I drove there to avoid having to run on some sections of very slanted sidewalk... there was a guy tossing scraps of food out the window of his van and about two dozen gulls were just hanging in the air waiting to pounce on these scraps, spread white wings against blue sky and I just sat in my car for about five minutes watching. And yesterday I took the afternoon off and my wife and I went for a walk, the sky was that lovely blue we get here along the New England coast... Yeah, makes me want to skip along and recite e.e.cummings.

Y'know, I was all set to type out this big long spiel about how I haven't caught spring fever yet as I work nights and rarely get outside during the daytime and various issues concerning spring and college campuses and yadda yadda yadda, but then a rather brief and ineffective (in terms of precipitation) thunderstorm moved on through and changed everything. Why? Because I love thunderstorms, especially during the summer. They're not that bad during the spring, either... And so I can now say that spring fever is slowly but surely beginning to set in. And maybe this is a sign that I oughta start journalling regularly again... =^)

I'm certainly looking forward to the warm weather ahead, no doubt about it. But at the same time I wasn't too pleased with winter...we had zero snow until the week after Christmas. That's no fair.

I like all the seasons pretty much equally. They all have their charms to me. I look forward to nice weather partly because I won't have to make so many preparations for my daily walk. :-)
