I need to take very close images of shiny sterling silver wearables. On my old 35 mm camera I had to use a macro lens and lots of filters. I have looked through lots of your information and do not know where to begin. Would you have any recommendation on what camera or specifically what qualities to look for in a camera. I need to be able to get very close to the object, within 6 inches. I want an image that is very clear. Color quality is not as important a focus but of course being an artist I would appreciate good color in other images. Thank you for your time I will look forward to an answer. Oh I am expecting to spend 500 to 800 dollars on this camera.

M. CoitI do not own one, but from what I have read the Nikon CP950 is the best camera for macro. You can read a review on this site and also see links below.
