say goodbye on a night like this...

...if it's the last thing we ever do

whoa. random Cure reference.

so anyway...Philly.

it's over now for awhile -- for real this time. i debated going to this show because of 1239080 external circumstances that aren't important right now, and i honestly can't express how happy i am that i made it down there.

as far as special shows go, Philly was up there with Asbury Park for me. the setlist was surprising and awesome and something i may have fantasized about, but nothing i ever expected to actually hear. thank you. thank you thank you thank you.

every song blew me away more than the one before it, but the second i heard Chris start talking about the first song in the trilogy and i realized they were going to play Silver Sky Pilot, i thought i was gonna keel over. my god. what a moment for me.

i'm generally pretty good about putting emotions together and having them come out semi-coherently, but for some reason i can't do that now. maybe it's because it was the last show and i'm trying to hold onto all of it so tightly. maybe it's because everything was just so special and beautiful that i want to carry it around inside for awhile. i don't know.

i feel like we came full circle with this one -- i wish so much that more of you could have been there, but having most of the Halloween crew together for this last hurrah (for awhile) was beyond awesome. i feel like i've been on this magical trip, both literally and figuratively, with all of you.

the moments i've shared with you guys, both individually and as a group, are something i will cherish forever. thank you.

and thank you to Craig, Gary, Chris and Adam for your music, your generosity, your humor, and your beauty. it's been an amazing ride. (it's 98.4% about each of you, but don't tell each other or someone will call me a bitch again!! :)

love you...aimee.*

Aimee,

It certainly seems to have been a great couple of months for you. I have to admit I loved reading your posts after you returned from the road and it is something I will certainly miss for awhile! I am still breathlessly waiting for the show in Omaha and I hope it's amazing even though I won't get to see you and sue and all the other amazing fans I've met along the way... I did hear that Erin might attend the Omaha show, so Erin if you're out there and you're going please let me know! There's nothing more exciting than meeting Joe 90 fans... Aimee, I also wanted to say thanks for maintaining such an amazing site. You often speak about how the guys inspire you with their beauty and grace, but rarely we get a chance to thank you for your beauty and dedication to this site that allows a lot of us to keep up with band happenings! So thank you so much! Hope to hear from you soon and also looking forward to being close and more memories in the upcoming summer...

Love, Josh
