I would like to use Lithium AA batteries in my BP-50. Could anyone please tell me if this is a problem?

I don't think Canon recommends it, maybe Bob can confirm that. My question is why would you want to do this anyway? Unless you have a cheap source, 4 Li AA batteries would cost just as much as a 2CR5, and I have my doubts about them lasting any longer.

According to my manual no you can't use lithium doesnt say why but jnot to use them as the supposedly damage the camera
