Feels like home :)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TB2K spinoff uncensored : One Thread

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Either I'm an old fart and hate change, or I'm just a plain ol' meat & potatoes kinda gal, but I prefer the Greenspun way! The bells & whistles are pretty, sure, but I just want to read what y'all think & have to say. Yay for the sysops! Thanks!

Thank you!

I wholeheartedly agree! I had difficulty navagating the new site so much that I had vowed to give up checking in anymore. I found this by going to the old site in hopes that others felt like me and protested. Sure enough! Here you are! Hallelujah!

I also like this format better. Feels like home. There should have been a better way to defeat the spammers than EZ board.

Also, don't understand why Flint was banned. Maybe I ain't been around long enough, but I read the mile long thread about him, pro and con. So he liked to kick the anthill. As long as he didn't spam he should be able to say what he likes.

I like this forum style better, but it's
full of posters that posted disrespectful
posts to my efforts to inform people of what
was going on in the world.

I'm not talking about disagreements, but
contemptuous remarks.

Spider, I understand what you're saying. It took me a long time to learn to ignore those contemptuous remarks and those that constantly made them. It is simply bullying. I learned to skip the posts of people like that and not get involved with them. That's the only way to survive and learn on an un-moderated forum.

Your efforts did not go to waste Spider, I read all of your posts that I came upon and found them informative. I'm certain many regulars and lurkers felt the way I do, we just didn't express it to you directly. Such is forum "life".

Yep, me likes it too....Guess I'm getting old, now 38 and still dont like change...I couldnt get around the new board and not easy on me eyes either....glad this is here.

spider, I always enjoyed your posts.

I know it's hard, but you can learn to ignore negative remarks. I liken all this to high school, because I agree with OldTB, there will always be bullies (I used to be one when I spammed TB.) If you ignore them, they don't have any power over you. Besides, if you never said anything, no one would disagree. How much fun is that?
