I am not sure, but it sounds like the information above relates to the incident below (the only recent 707 crash).

Date: 03.02.2000 Time: 20.30 Type: Boeing 707-351C Operator: Trans Arabian Air Transport - TAAT Registration: ST-APY C/n: 19412/563 Year built: 1967 Total airframe hrs: 51200 hours Cycles: 21600 cycles Crew: 0 fatalities / 5 on board Passengers: 0 fatalities / 0 on board Total: 0 fatalities / 5 on board Location: Mwanza (Tanzania) Phase: Landing Nature: Freight Flight: Khartoum - Mwanza (Flightnumber 310) Remarks: The aircraft was departed Khartoum for a flight to Mwanza where it was supposed to pick up a cargo of 38 tonnes of fish fillet from Vick Fish Processors for delivery in Europe. Initial reports said the pilot aborted landing at the first attempt because he was coming in too high. When he attempted landing for the second time, the airctraft crashed into Lake Victoria.
