Can I come out of my bunker now?greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread |
I was "hoping" for a the BIG one from LY that we missed from Y2K. Guess I'm "disappointed" again.

i think its obvious there wont be any visible BIG ONES from any date related bugs. just lots & lots & lots of smaller ones, doin their thing in the background, making life more chaotic in ways we'll probably never fully surmise.

Is this a troll? If rollover didn't hurt, and the date-sensitive things over the prior two or three years didn't hurt, how die-hard would you have to be to hope for any macro effect from 2/29?Best face to put on it is to pretend we will bleed to death from a thousand cuts, to steal a previous face-saving line. Or you could just admit you were a sucker for panic-mongering, and the world will continue to limp along with assorted large and small problem, of which Y2K-related glitches were and will be a tiny minority.

It is Springtime again. Life renews. Do not spend your life in a bunker, literal or figurative.
