Sheesh.

After all this talk about "just wait till February 29th -- you'll see!"

Has the "Movement" lost steam? Glory be. Wonder why.

(could it be something called "facts"?)

Chicken,

"Wonder why."

IMO it's because we like things working, hot showers and all that.

Change for the better is always fun, disaster is not.

Lots of interesting posts on this forum and maybe some of it is leaking up.

Just a thought...If enough people are wondering about the integrity of the government via conspiracy theories just maybe they are considering and maybe thinking and maybe...Just a thought!

Any way I don't think most people want disaster to happen, just want enough change so that the government would get off our backs, leave us alone within the Constitutional Laws of the Land, remove unjust taxation, attack real criminals and leave honest citizens alone, and etc.

And have enough left over for a good Fried Chicken dinner on Sunday afternoon, with time and freedom to watch the kids play and grow.

I used to wonder/wander all over the place when I was a kid. At a customers house one day, in a nice peaceful neighborhood, the customers kid, about 6 years, walked out the front door to look at my truck. The mother ran out there and screamed at the poor kid..."DO YOU KNOW YOU COULD BE KIDNAPPED!"

Hey CL - Have you dumped all your GE and Coca-Cola stock and bought pets.com yet?

BWHHAHAHAAHA

Mark,

Cool. Just exactly what anybody wanting to live a normal life would want to hear.

But your post addresses exactly NOTHING having to do with 99.9% of the Doomer posts on this forum since late 1997, dealing with how those who didn't PREPARE against a Y2k CATACLYSM would most probably DIE.

Which posts are documented out the wazoo. They are public record now. What I'm posting even now might be deleted, but guess what?? TOO LATE. It's archived.

Your talking about how people want to live good lives, and all that, is commendable, but runs square in the face of those regulars here who have wished for the deaths of those who did not agree with them...

Don't even say it hasn't happened. It has. Documented. No escaping that. Can be reproduced here, until the censors delete it.

hell no @ !

bought Bank of America at its 52-week low the other day. Exactly at its low, BTW. Gonna hang onto it for a while.

How you doing, genius?

CL -

I monitored what the doomers were saying throughout most of 1999. They told me there would be problems if computers were not compliant. I didn't worry too much about that because I work in the computer industry and I knew that my computers at home, and the software developed at the company where I work, were all compliant.

But beyond what I could do myself to ensure compliance, I was warned to expect problems, either as a direct result or domino effect, due to non-compliance of computers I had no control over. There were differences as to what specifics to expect, but the things I heard most consistently were: (a) severe oil shortages and resulting sharp price increases, and (b) drop in the stock market.

It seems to me that we've had both of those things. I don't have the wherewithall to investigate whether they have resulted from what the Y2K doomers said they would result from. All I know is I was warned they would happen and they've happened. And I'm glad I listened and prepared.

Markus,

I'm sure you have the best motives in mind. But you're dealing in the "micro". The "macro" folks here did NOT have the best interests of the general public in mind.

It'll all come out before too long. Some sinister forces were at work, pushing Y2k Fear. Criminal indictments will result, I have no doubt.

Of course many will loudly protest that estimation. Rats get upset when the basement light is turned on.

-- Chicken Little (panic@forthebirds.net), February 26, 2000.

Hi Chicken Little -- why would criminal indictments be handed down over y2k doomsaying? On what grounds?

Chicken Little you wrote:

Doing a little wishful thinking yourself?

Chicken Littlebrain:

You're full of shit to say that the majority wanted death and destruction, the "macro" ones. Take the blinders off and get a clue. Evidently you think the vast majority of us are like A and want societal destruction. That is total bullshit.

Bottom line: You're making unwarranted generalizations, like the Nazis did about the Jews.

what a wonderfully written wish...something that most all of us (here, and across the country) would earnestly desire. Will we see it in our lifetime? TPTB have taken America from us in the time it took us to finish our struggle and raise our kids...we may never get it back, is my greatest fear.

I'm keeping my preps. Counting on the Republi-crats to fix it, and take us back the country I can still remember, is a waste of time. I need to go tend to my garden.

Chicken Little is a troll, has been a troll and will always be a troll. Don't respond and maybe he will go away again.

-- justwondering (justwondering@trollsareunsound.com), February 26, 2000.

John Galt,

You say you're going to go tend your garden while you sit there at your computer and complain about the greatest country in the world.

The reason you have a garden, a compter, and the technology to run it is EVIDENCE that this country is the greatest on earth, and TPTB have our best interests at heart. (Maybe you should spend some time in other countries? Other places don't have our standard of living, and some wouldn't even allow you to complain about the government.)

Just trying to add a little perspective.

Peace

xyx@xwx.abc

Sounds alot like the old love it or leave it mentality. You can do better than that!

-- justwondering (justwondering@dontgothere.com), February 26, 2000.

Yo Mini Chick. while I may be a relative FNG (new guy) here I strongly suspect that you will have a hard time proving that there are in excess of 155,000 posts that wish for death and destruction. This is what it would take for your characterization to be accurate, in that "most" has to be 50% plus 1 at a MINIMUM.

Just noting a small fact.

XYZ--- You think TPTB have our best interests at heart? Is that why they seized our money system in 1913 and stole our gold in 1933 and then gave us the income tax? Is that why today the American taxpayer underwrites all risk to cover bad loans, foreign and domestic, for any corporation HUGE enough to qualify as too big to fail? And by that, I include the World Bank and the IMF!! OOOOOHH YEAH, we're the apple of their eye all right! We're their favorite captive cash cow, including my great-grandchildren, and yours too, unless you're a Swiss banker vacationing in Canada. You talk about our great standard of living when it's common knowledge that the prevalent globalist (INCLUDING the "leadership" of this country) "wisdom" calls for the reduction of the standard of living in industralized countries and a gradual evening, or leveling (to the LEAST common denominator)of common folks' earnings worldwide. You have written today some of the dumbest tripe I've ever read on this forum. Must be a GW Bush devotee, or Gore. Or maybe even a McCain voter, believing that we'll "get our government bacK" while proclaiming NAFTA and GATT be to great sucesses!

-- Ben (bcorson@dmi.net), February 26, 2000.

I just spoke with the Chicken Little Press, and it looks like the indictments are about to be handed down:

Mr. Decker: Negligent Arrogance

AisA: Forcibly causing extreme laughing spasms

Flint: Reckless Boredom, second degree

Cory Hamasaki: Indicted with Odd One in unfolding "White LED" scam

Ed Yourdon: Accessory to Inciting Rioting at the Debunkery

Y2K Pro: SPAM-O-terrorism

Lady: Impersonation of a sane person

CL-- So you took hard earned money and bought part of a Chinese controlled bank. Now what do you have?--a few electrons on a hard drive somewhere. Is this so you can boast around the water cooler? Buying and selling paper(electrons) contributes close to nothing to the real US economy. I've made more money and had a much better time being comped by Las Vegas casinos. SUCKER

My dear Mr. Little,

It is so nice of you to poke your beak in the forum again. I do so well remember you saying how expert you are on things electrical, and more specfically controls. After all you spent one whole year on a power generation station some where, some time.

Perhaps you can tell me why I saw three different makers' flow meters used on the same sub set today?

I mean, the collector assembly is a bitc...Well you know the word. Any way...You have three pipelines tying into the main line. All three branch feeder lines have a different pressure on them. And all three have to be equalized to feed correctly into the main. Now...This set up is a hummer to get right! But when you do, you do not tinker with it!

Both the flow and pressure meters' on one of he feeder lines failed. And we had to go back and redo them, they are old. Out of date. The "mother" plug in boards are long ago obsolete.

You are so very knowledgeable, perhaps you can tell me long it will take to get a "customize" board made up?

Incidently "Pullet" I think you should do a litle more reading about what is occuring! Got a year's supply of Chicken feed? And a screened off yard? (The hawks are rather bad around here). And the only thing I have seen around you that might be called criminal...Is that you are not cleaning out from under your roost.

"As for me...I shall finish the Game"!
