" John McCain will take votes from anyone: Democrats, independents, even vegetarians, as he joked last Sunday. But could he embrace the party of Ross Perot, the man Senator McCain once described as nuttier than a fruitcake?"

Well, McCain and I agree on something! I used to think that Perot was okay until he started waving his graphs around and yammering about his "lists." Talk about shades of Nixon! Okay, so Nixon had a couple of good points, although I'm hard-pressed to remember what those were right now.

Sigh.

Couldn't the Libertarians have come up with someone besides Harry Browne? What about Carla Emery? This election year stinks.

This election year stinks.

It's no different than the last two.

So I guess McCrank isn't the hardcore "Reagan Republican" he claims to be after all.

I'm sure that's news to SOMEONE. Someone who didn't bother LISTENING to the L-O-S-E-R.

Kb8um8,

Why did Ross's graphic example of the various financial, educational, and health-care sectors, confuse you to the point of flatly dismissing him?

Are you one of the people that are not bright enough to understand the implications of those graphs?

I guess it's easy to see why so few voted for him, I'm sure you represent the majority of voters.

In your defense, please give one example of how what Ross described was wrong.

It isn't Perot's charts and graphs that bothers me, I voted for him in 92 because he was right on the NAFTA and WTO issues. When he ran in 96 I heard him say that his solution for poor kids growing up in poverty in welfare slums would be to take the little babies at birth and let the loving government raise them. Thats the craziest idea I've heard yet. A little knowledge can be a dangerous thing!
