Don't get around much, anymore. But here's my suggestion for the new name for TB 2000greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread |
I kind of started feeling foolish hanging out here after the rollover. I think we were smart to be prepared for y2k, but it DID turn out to be a "bomb", didn't it?Now I see lots of new "faces" here. Most the old regulars seem to have gotten a life. I'll keep on checking in now and then, but meantime, how about this for a new name?
TIMEONYOURHANDS 2000
-- jumpoff joe a.k.a. Al K. Lloyd (jumpoff@ekoweb.net), February 24, 2000
Probably too general, since those with positive outlooks on life also sometimes have spare time. I'd propose ROTTENWORLD FOREVER as more descriptive.

Sysops, please delete.

Another would be termite.

AlkaLloyd unfortunately turned into a troll. Whatever motivates people to ridicule, belittle, and berate others? Nasties are not nice.

sysops need you for these kids.....you there?
-- canthappen (n@ysayer.com), February 24, 2000.
Flint's boring and reasonable arguments didn't satisfy him. Evidently he didn't get enough bites so now he is resorting to this. I didn't even leave a sarcastic remark to his/her latest post. Oh well, I won't post again to this thread. He has proved to me how useless he is to have resorted to this.

How about this one:

Go away!!!!This fun location on the net changes daily.
Wouldn't miss it!!!!
The name has become almost meaningless, at least to those that come here for the latest and greatest news.
Whatever the inspiration.

You don't have a sense of humor if you can't laugh at yourself. This forum really could use a new name. Suggestions welcome, attacks dumb, right?
