The airport started using the old radar system Sunday night

Radar Controversy Continues Monica Balderrama PALM SPRINGS  The controversy continues over the radar at the Palm Springs International Airport. On Sunday, officials announced that they will begin using the old radar system again.

The airport was operating off of a military radar system since last month, when FAA officials deemed the airports radar unsafe. But, at 6 p.m. on Sunday night, officials shut down the military radar and put the old system back in service.
