Swift

Yes. The futura software probably won't work. No problem after you get the laptop hooked up to the cpu interface go to main screen, click on run and then type "terminal" in the command box and hit enter. The computer goes into the terminal emulation mode and will call for you to enter a password. once you have enteredthe password you will get "Group" and a blinking cursor at that point you can check or change any of the group settings. You can do this at any individual controller also. You will get a 1,2,ect instead of group. This doesn't repace the convenience of the diagnostic and group screen but it will get you by untill swift can send you a replacement drive (recommended) or the software if you replace it yourself. Good luck Fred

If you call swift and give them the job number they can build you the monitor program and email it to you. The biggest problem with swift software is the older swift 500 stuff is written to run in dos.And it is job specific. If you install software written for a different job you could use the terminal mode but not the dispatch display or the pmi display screen. They don't recomend running there program in windows but I run my remote monitor in windows 95 and have no problem at all. I am working on a replacement program that would work on different jobs, run in windows, give you the ability to run the cars in a test mode count the number of runs when engaged and even tweak parameters. I have been working on swift 5000s for about 10 years and have been developing my own software for the last couple years.
