The Hyena shot inspired me to try putting some other Tanzania shots online...

Two lions in the Ngorongoro Crater just after sunrise, going through their wakeup ritual - one rolling in the grass like a kitten, another roaring and walking with an attitude across the crater floor. Even these guys have to be on guard - for attacks from the other prides with whom they share the 100 square miles of Crater.
