Are any of the posters here from Phoenix? Can you tell me anything about the area around St. Luke's Hospital? Some of the streets listed are North 12th St., East Van Buren and Washington. Any help you can give would be appreciated.

Answers

That hospital is in the so called "Presidential District" ...most streets named for dead presidents. Van Buren is "hooker central"...Sherriff's Posse rounds up the 'girls' every so many weeks.

On the other hand, St Luke's is a very good hospital, as I know from experience. Hope that helps.

Saw a show on Phoenix last night that said there were approx 500 gangs in that town. Such a nice place.

If you're going to be working at St Lukes the neighborhood is no big deal, even if you're working grave shift. The hospital knows the situation so you can be sure they have a secure employee parking area. Isn't St Lukes on McDowell?

I know a woman who was abducted inside an eight foot fenced "secure" parking lot at her work. The "workplace" had some of those wonderful security guards from a well know big CIA front company that's name is sometimes called "wackynutz". She was gang raped and sodomized by a carload of brothers for most of the day, then dumped out the side of the road way out of town. No one was ever caught, and she was unable to "prove" anything enough, besides her medical condition of rape and sodomy, to even sue anyone, and the cops never caught anyone either. Description of perps=carload of brothers. Moral of the story is don't trust someone else for your own security, and if you aren't armed and trained for your own protection you really don't have any. Nowadays I imagine that she would have just been killed, this happened before the "two strikes and you're out" laws in this state, now the badguys kill witnesses routinely if they have any prior record.

I wouldn't even go to that area in the daytime. But the good news is that AZ will allow nearly anyone to have a concealed weapon permit.
