Bump in Road Chapter 2 Feb 19, 2000

It's 84 degrees here in Poenix, the trip out west was interesting to say the least. Now down to business, granny's in trouble for missing the first week of kindergarten. I'm taking her down to the school now to show off her new wheels. The principal said the data base reads she's 5 years old, must be a bump in the road I said. The principals face turned dark red, kinda like that shade the moon had last Dec, he appoligzed for the misunderstanding. It's too bad, granny kinda liked the one they called Fester, he liked to crash things. The nice principal then said they found batteries, wires and fire crackers in granny's creative play box. Oh well, thats their problem as granny has been taken off the suspect list.

Decided to take granny home the scenic route, we see all kinds of fire trucks and policemen closing in a auto junk yard. From what we could tell there were airplane seats buring there by granny's old Pontiac, must have been that bump in the road, no, no way we think. Planes were not supposed to fall from the sky. Last week granny said she saw a large arrow looking thing headed straight down into the ocean.

Went to the Secretary of State to register my fancy new four wheel drive, the expiration date would not take, the nice lady said, that little man in the computer is cranky again. I thought maybe he hit a bump in the road too. A week later I recieve this title in the mail, it said "Horseless Buggy Year 1900", are they trying to tell me something here..? no, no way that bump in the road again. Granny said it looks like the past is coming back to life and it's giving her ideas, were framing that title, and will show it our grandkids someday.

Granny got the water bill in, showed she used 19,002,000 gallons of water, she called them and said she quit making moon shine years ago, besides, the water isn't good enough anyway. Maybe the nice people at the water plant hit a bump in the road... They were on that bad boy list.

Well now it's the weekend here, the wind is picking up and the trees are bending almost to the breaking point. Then we hear this load roaring noise, we thought, did a train hit a bump or is that a micro-burst. Most everything not bolted down was flying everywhere so we waited out the storm in the cellar. There were trees down everywhere and the power's been out since for days, is it the bump in the road, no, no way, we all were given fair warning about the solar storms, weather problems, and the natural changing Mother Earth. The only small item that survived was a small wind chime, it has those bell sounds.

I bet you folks are wondering, did granny stash lots of food and supplies for Y2K? the answer is yes, she's cutting back though, feels two months worth is just plane sensible. Given the fact that we have bumps now in almost everthing in our world granny is helping those school kids and Fester even comes over to play in the labratory, she's building that Time Travel Machine with vacume tubes.

Another Saga! Thanks Whitecloud ;^D
