How to create tracks/chapters/menu when burning VCD?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

There is no problem for me to record VCD MPEG file, However, I have problem adding MENU, Chapters & Tracks on it when creating & burning the VCD. One expert recommended to use CeQuadrat VideoPack 4.0 but it still doesn't work. Another problem will be the VCD created (without menu & chapters) using Adaptec Easy CD Creator 3.5 or 4.0 will not be able to read by some of VCD players in my country. Only those using CeQuadrat WinOn CD (any version) will be able to read on all VCD. Can you help? Thank you in advance! Best Regards, M S 2/19/2000

I use the adaptec and get great looking menus and start sequences. There is a whole section on here about how to do it posted by Kevin

Hi Mun San

Instead of using Video Pack 4, do consider Win On CD 3.7 Power Edition. It has features from VP4 within it and the software has plenty of features for all the CD-Burning you might care to do.

WOCD 3.7 PE does VCD in two flavours. The first is straight VCD without any menus and such. The second flavour is with menus. Menus can be made with stills(with or without audio) and mpeg files. The choice is yours.

Documentation for all WOCD software is shitty so you will have to bounce your way through a little.

Does WoC 3.7 PE allows entry points, as in VideoPack 4? From what i've worked with, 3.6 does not.
