AUDIO CORRUPTED WHIT POWERVCR VCD ON STANDALONE DVDPLAYERgreenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread
HI! BIG PROBLEM TODAY: I AM ENCODING MPEG FILES IN VIDEOCD FORMAT WHIT POWERVCR FROM CYBERLINK. ALL WORKS GREAT BUT WHEN I BURN A VCD WHIT THIS FILES AND PLAY IT ON MY PIONEER DV-525 THE VIDEO IS GOOD BUT AUDIO TOTALLY CORRUPTED. IF I PLAY IT ON MY PC NO PROBLEMS. I TRIED OUT ALL BURNING SOFTWARE POSSIBLE (NERO/EASYCD/VIDEOPACK/WINONCD/NTI CDMAKER...) WHIT THE SAME FRUSTRATING RESULT :( I ALSO TRIED WINVCR FROM CINAX AND IT WORKS WELL BUT THIS PROGRAM IS FULL OF BUGS SINCE IT RANDOMLY STOPS WHIT AUDIO/VIDEO SYNC PROBLEMS..

Which part of the globe are you from?
That problem I had with the same number unit in PAL and I did not buy it as it chopped up the sound just as you describe and nothing I did improved it - not even a CD-RW.
Unfortunately you have a real problem that only another 525 user with experience might be able to help with.

I have same problem. so I use Cinax I film edit 1.45 , it solve my sound problem fast , without reencoding mpeg file.you can try it .

yes, but ifilm edit often does not encode the videocd mpeg file of powervcr because it shows the error 'incorrect data at the of the stream' so it is not a alway working solution...

HI BOYS! I WROTE THIS MESSAGE FEW DAYS AGO ABOUT A PROBLEM OF CORRUPTED AUDIO WHILE PLAYING A VCD CREATED WHIT A POWERVCR MPEG FILE ON STANDALONE DVD PLAYERS.
I TRIED TO DEMUX AND REMUX WHIT ALL THE MPEG EDITING SOFTWARE AVAILABLE TODAY (IFILM EDIT, XING ENCODER, ETC.)BUT I DIDN'T SOLVED THE PROBLEM. IT SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM IN THE MUXING PROCESS PERHAPS BECAUSE OF (TOO) HIGH VIDEO QUALITY IN POWERVCR MPEG OUTPUT FILE.
FINALLY I TRIED A SHAREWARE EDITING SOFTWARE: M1-EDIT PROFESSIONAL (DOWNLODABLE AT HTTP://WWW.MEDIAWARE.COM.AU) AND IT SOLVED ALL THE PROBLEMS: WONDERFUL VIDEO AND SUPERB AUDIO EVEN IF YOU BURN VCD WHIT NERO/EASYCD/WINONCD/NTI CDMAKER/ETC...
AND SO... LET'S RECORD!!!
BYE FOR NOW ;-)))
