Leica R to Canon EOS

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Camera Equipment : One Thread

i've heard of an adaptor the allows Leica R lenses to be mounted on Canon EOS bodies.

i'm considering the 35L to be my primary lens, but i've heard so much about Leica lenses, particularly the 35/2 summicron, how that it's already outstanding at f2/f2.8

Any one has ever use one and is it worth losing USM AF and extra stop of EF35L for the R35/2? This is about the only lens i'm particularly interested in the R line.

Zoerk produces glassless Leica -> EOS adaptors. See http://www.zoerk.com/

Many Leicas perform slightly better but I've doubts that the 35/2 is really superior to 35/1.4L at comparable apertures.
