These two EXTRAORDINARY newshounds cover different turf. Homer's forte -- historically speaking -- has been the local eddies of news on glitches -- often hitting at the level of county adminsitrative systems, small-town 911 systems, community colleges, local hospitals, tax systems, etc. Homer's posts -- seems to me -- almost inevitably cover problems that arise from software difficulties or where "computer problems" or "technical " problems are acknowledged.

I have only once or twice seen duplications between them.

Keep it up guys!!

Carl has covered the disaster and EVENT scene, with an emphasis on ruptures, explosions, plane crashes, shutdowns, etc. in which the consequences are often large, environmental or social, but the evidence of a connection to Y2K issues is (often) entirely absent from the text of the story and must be presumed by us readers, usually as (perhaps) arising from a failed embedded sensor or system.
